Merrickville Rink Open for Pleasure Skating!
Thanks to a very dedicated, hard-working and positive group of community volunteers, the Merrickville Outdoor Rink is now open for pleasure skating! The rink at the corner of Read Street and Main Street West has been flooded and, as long as the weather cooperates, it can now be used for public skating.
Signage on site will provide additional details but the patrons are reminded to stay safe and abide by Provincial COVID-19 guidelines. Please wear a mask and stay 2m apart. Unfortunately, hockey is prohibited and the changeroom must remain closed in accordance with O. Reg 82/20. No hockey equipment is permitted on the ice.
Subject to any further legislative changes, public skating may occur 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. everyday. The public bathroom will be open and sanitized regularly during these hours.
Our sincere appreciation to the group of volunteers who are maintaining the rink this winter. Their hard work and dedication has made opening of the rink in 2021 possible.
