At Council’s regular meeting on Sept 26th, Mayor Struthers announced that Council will resume in-person meetings in the Council Chamber at their next regular meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday October 11, 2022. Extra space will be provided between seats in the Council Chamber for those seated in the gallery as well as for Council members and staff. This is to help minimize the extent of the anticipated fall “wave” and so that residents can feel safe to attend. Due to this, public seating is expected to be limited to a maximum of 10-12 people, however Council meetings will continue to also be recorded and livestreamed on Youtube. Those experiencing COVID symptoms, who have tested positive for COVID or who have been exposed to others who have tested positive, are asked to remain at home and utilize Youtube to monitor the meeting. While masks are not mandatory, attendees are also encouraged to wear masks.
