Notice of Upcoming Sewer Work in Your Area

Please be advised that Clean Water Works will be doing sewer cleaning and grouting on sections of the following streets starting on Monday November 30th – Friday December 4th:

• Main Street West
• St. John Street
• St. Lawrence Street
• Wellington Street East
• Lewis Street East
• Colborne Street East
• Church Street
• Elgin Street

Please ensure your toilet seat cover is down in case water bubbles up during the cleaning operation.  

We also recommend that you pour water mixed with a bit of bleach into your basement floor drain to ensure the trap is not dry. If your trap is dry, then sewer odour can enter the home.

As a good practice, we recommend that homeowners should do this at least twice a year to prevent any sewer odour from entering the home.
