Shortly after being elected, each new Village of Merrickville-Wolford Council forms a series of volunteer advisory committees and boards to support Council’s decision-making and effective governance of the municipality. Some of the committees and boards are regulated by Provincial legislation and others are not.

Each board and committee member is required to comply with the Village’s Procedure By-law and other related policies and legislation.

Council has appointed members and Council Liaisons to the following committees and boards:

• Committee of Adjustment - Council Liaison is Councillor Maitland
• Property Standards Committee - Council Liaison is Deputy Mayor Barr
• Merrickville Public Library Board  - Council Liaison is Councillor Gural
• Police Services Board - Council Liaison is Mayor Cameron
• Community Wellness & Environmental Advisory Committee - Council Liaison is Councillor Maitland
• Heritage & Planning Advisory Committee - Council Liaison is Deputy Mayor Barr
• Blockhouse Museum Municipal Services Board -  Council Liaison is Deputy Mayor Barr

If you are interested in serving the community on one of the volunteer boards or advisory committees currently with vacancies, your service to the community would be greatly appreciated!

• Community Wellness & Environmental Advisory Committee (CWEAC) - 2 vacant positions
• Heritage & Planning Advisory Committee ( HPAC) - 1 vacant positon
