To provide Scouts Canada programming for youth from 4 to 16 years (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts)

Christmas in Merrickville was started mid-late 1980s/early 1990s as a community event to welcome and celebrate the beginning of the season.

Through the active participation of parents, to improve pupil achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education system to parents.

To assist and advise the Forest Manager Joel Martineau (County employee) in the protection and management of Limerick Forest.

To conduct fundraising activities to address the funding shortfall for the services and activities of our treasured library. Services we support include - but are not restricted to - Overdrive and Kanopy streaming services, children's and adult programs and purchase of library materials and supplies. In addition to financial support, we aim to design funding initiatives that support the community at large. We also aim to provide a warm and welcoming place for Volunteers / Membership to become involved with the community and make new friends.

To enhance and preserve the natural and cultural heritage of the Rideau Canal, to increase public awareness and enjoyment of the Rideau Canal, to develop a strong public support for the long-term wellbeing of the Rideau Canal and to promote the co-operative Rideau Waterway information distribution. We do this to ensure the long term well-being of the Rideau Canal, so that future generations can continue to use and enjoy this remarkable piece of Canadian heritage.

To deliver a hands-on learning experience for youth ages 6-21. We run clubs for agriculture, lifeskills, homecrafts, and everything in between. Members learn proper parliamentary procedures and our organization fosters future community leaders.

To offer a spiritual home for the people of Merrickville-Wolford. We are a diverse and inclusive community in which all are welcome to share their spiritual journey with us. We strive to offer a safe place to grow and deepen faith through worship, study, fellowship and service.

To address 4 program pillars (Food security, Environment, Community Engagement, Community Infrastructure) and to provide funding to community groups that support the program pillars and enhance the quality of life for residents.
Merrickville Lions Campground

To encourage an awareness of agriculture and to promote improvements in the quality of life of persons living in an agricultural community in accordance with the Agricultural and Horticultural Organizations Act . We hold the Merrickville Fair the first full weekend of August, every year.

To have fun while growing things. We tour each others gardens and go on Garden tours. We share our knowledge and our plants. We manage the Gardens at the Library and Community Center. We raise money selling plants and what is not used for soil and mulch for gardens is given to charities

To identify, preserve, restore, maintain and promote historical buildings, structures, sites and artifacts important to the history of Merrickville- Wolford for the benefit, enjoyment and education of the public.

To support artists, work with the community and provide mentorship and events opportunities to artists.

To represent and advocate for our business members

To provide a safe space for families with young children from Merrickville and surrounding communities to network, we also have a representative from Kemptville EarlyON visits regularly to connect with the families as well.

To contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of the residents of Merrickville-Wolford by: building and maintaining walking trails, in and around the Village of Merrickville-Wolford, for primarily pedestrian use; promoting the regular use of these and other regional trails by residents of Merrickville-Wolford and by visitors to the municipality; and by organizing activities and resources to help achieve the previous two objectives.

To provide emergency services and ensure safety of the residents of Merrickville-Wolford through fire safety, fire prevention, and education. As a final note, the Merrickville Fire Department will always help the community in any way possible.

To provide non-perishable food and household items and emergency food bags to residents in our community who are experiencing food insecurity.

To promote the expression of and appreciation for cultural and artistic activities in the community of Merrickville-Wolford. MOCA will seek to collaborate with other likeminded organizations and individuals to maximize programming, avoid duplication and create synergies that can be enjoyed by residents and visitors to the municipality.

We’re a public library – we lend/provide access to books and other information/education/entertainment/technology resources; we offer program /activities/space and opportunities for social engagement; and we promote literacy (various types). For all ages.

To provide an opportunity for people to have fun by moving to music and socializing to boost physical and mental health. All funds (100%) are given to groups that service Merrickville residents.

To organize and promote soccer in Merrickville-Wolford

The care and maintenance of the cemetery. Selling plots, providing guidance to families and attendance at services.

To fundraise for much needed equipment used by the department. Additionally, we organize community events within Merrickville-Wolford. We actively participate in various social activities organized by the association and other community-based events

To collect, manage, research, preserve and present its heritage resources for the benefit of the public, through exhibitions, publications, and educational and public programs, with a focus on the history of Merrickville-Wolford and area.

To organize a monthly dinner among local francophones. We have over 40 members with most that meet for the dinner and there are now a few spin offs groups that get together.

To offer a wide variety of group programs and services to empower the community to take charge of their health.

To host an annual run/walk/stroll late April called the Merrickville Heritage Classic. There are four distances, 2K, 5K, 10K and a Virtual Half Marathon.

The mission of the Merrickville Heritage Classic is to encourage people to get outside and get active through recreational running or walking. We advocate and promote a healthy lifestyle through a fun and safe activity. We are now in our 11th year. We also host a Trivia night fundraiser to help cover costs of the race in the early winter months.

To provide services to seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Lanark, Leeds & Grenville, such as the Senior Exercise group

Our Mission is to enhance community experiences for residents and visitors by providing a gathering space offering facilities and events at reasonable cost to residents, to visitors, to partners and to businesses.

To provide support and assistance to Veterans and their families as well as serving or former serving members of the military, all members of the police services and the community. The Legion provides a free venue for many other organizations and groups.

To promote theatre and the arts by presenting two productions a year, withafocusonlocalandotherCanadianplaywrights. Inaddition,we provide workshops and other events encouraging community participation in the arts, to promote the knowledge and appreciation of the Arts in general.

A community choir that does not focus on challenges but instead focuses on bringing people together in the joy of singing and sharing that joy with others.
