- Nigel Bellchamber presented the next steps for the Strat Plan process at the 4:00 p.m. special meeting of Council.
- Council received a delegation from Hilda Siegel & Ava Cunningham regarding the Amateur World Powerlifting Championships.
- Direction was given to staff to bring back a report and by-law to the June 10th regular meeting to declare the portion of Drummond Street road allowance as surplus.
- Council awarded the tender to Globocam Cornwall for the 2024 Freightliner Highway Plow.
- Approval was given for the HF McLean and Collar Hill Roads Capital Project Bid submited by Cavanaugh Construction.
- The proposal & recommendation for a speed study was approved.
- The RFP for the Flower Pole project was awarded to Full Speed Builders.
- Council endorsed the proposed Complaint Policy as presented.
- Council received the positive news that Merrickville Fire Department was the recipient of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada grant.
- The new community flagpole to be installed at the parkette at the corner of Main Street and St. Lawrence Street was approved.
- Council approved Report CWEAC-2024-02.
- Direction was given to staff to bring back a report and draft by-law pertaining to backyard hens.
- A petition was received pertaining to rebuilding & upgrading gravel roads in Wolford Ward.
- Volunteer member appointments were made to the vacant positions on the Police Services Board, HPAC & CWEAC.
- Notices of Motion were brought forward by Mayor Cameron regarding the investigation of costs of infrastructure expansion to the North Side of Merrickville, and the development of a strategic long-term financial plan.
