Flags at all Municipal Flagpoles at Half-Mast to Honour Retired MFD Captain Chris Hansen

The flags on the municipal flagpoles have been lowered to half-mast in honour of retired Merrickville Fire Department Captain Chris Hansen who served his community for 34 years and finished his career as Training Captain with the department. We honour the life and service of a brave firefighter whose courage, dedication, and selflessness made a lasting impact on the community. Every call answered was a testament to his unwavering commitment to protecting others, often in the face of great danger.
