September 15-21, 2025 is Rail Safety Week
This week is meant to raise awareness and encourage smart behaviour around train tracks. Every year, there are tragedies that happen on train tracks across North America and almost all of them are preventable.
Knowing the signs and signals is a great way to ensure you can be rail-safe. CPKC also highlights some of the following tips:
- Trespassing on railway property is illegal and dangerous.
- Never ride a bicycle, walk or otherwise be on or near railway tracks.
- Only cross at designated and marked railway crossings.
