Please be advised that Environment Canada has issued special weather statements, expecting strong winds to continue throughout Merrickville-Wolford and Kemptville region through this evening. Please be prepared for blowing snow, snow drifts on the roads, and possible damage to buildings and power outages. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Public Works staff will continue to monitor the cold front moving through the region, which may be associated with bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow giving significantly reduced visibility along with a sharp temperature drop.
If residents encounter hazards on municipal roads, such as fallen trees or flooding, outside of regular business hours after 4:30 p.m., you can notify the Village by calling 613-913-0650. If the call is not answered directly, please leave a detailed message.
