The Village of Merrickville-Wolford has scheduled flushing and investigation work on the sanitary sewer systems for Merrickville - April 22 to May 2, 2025 (or possibly longer).
This work involves pressure cleaning of the sanitary sewers and camera inspections located in the roadway. This type of cleaning activity can sometimes cause back pressure, resulting in ‘splashing’ occurring in toilets. It is recommended that all toilet seats are left in a closed position during this maintenance work, that you refrain from using toilets when maintenance vehicles are present near your location, and that you run water in all plumbing fixtures (taps) for a minimum of 30 seconds after the work has been completed.
Once the maintenance vehicles have left your area, you may resume using your facilities as usual.
