Please note that Public Works is aware that various municipal roads require grading and the work orders are in place.
The Municipality’s one grader is currently operating to spread gravel for the maintenance gravel contract as well as prepare for calcium chloride to mitigate dust.
Once the maintenance gravel tender is completed this week, grading on Bolton, Pioneer, and Land O Nod are planned (expected for week of July 6 – sooner if the opportunity allows).
Thereafter the reconstruction tender for areas of Bolton and Pioneer are planned following the completion of the current reconstruction areas of Corktown. Once the final lift of surface granular is applied, graded, and compacted as part of the aforementioned tender, calcium chloride is planned on Bolton and Pioneer.
Public Works may apply calcium sooner if the road construction project is not completed until late summer.
