Please note that effective March 3rd, 2026, reduced load restrictions will be in place throughout the Municipality. Vehicles must comply with the standard 5,000 kilogram (5 ton) per axel limit. As per Section 122 (2) of the Highway Traffic Act, there are specific exceptions for fuel, livestock feed and poultry to be transported in two-axel vehicles with weights up to 7,500 kilograms per axel. The Municipality urges all companies to adjust their delivery schedules and load weights to comply with these current restrictions.
The reduced load period is necessary to protect municipal roads, which are susceptible to damage from the spring thaw. Once road damage has been mitigated, the restrictions will be lifted. Information will be posted on the website and Facebook.
