UPDATE: Public Notice - Water Valve Replacement - October 21st
UPDATE - October 21st at 12:45 p.m.
During the replacement of the water valve at St. Lawrence and Wellington, more water valves were required to be turned down to isolate the repair area. This was unexpected and the area of the reduced pressure was beyond the original boundaries.
The replacement is planned to be completed by 3:00pm today. Please run water until any discoloration is flushed.
We thank you for your continued support and patience during replacement of the aging infrastructure.
Another valve replacement is planned for St. Lawrence and Drummond on October 22. Additional valves may need to be turned down, similar to today to isolate the repair area.
Please note that Public Works staff and OCWA will be working on replacing two water valves. Residents located at Wellington St E at St Lawrence St will experience low pressure for the duration of the valve replacement. Residents who will be affected by this work will also receive a hand delivered notice from the municipality stating which day the low water pressure will take place. Work is expected to last between 7am-3pm on both Tuesday, October 21st and Wednesday, October 22nd.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the municipal office at 613-269-4791 ext. 270. We thank you in advance for your understanding.
